‘Tall‘ plans come crashing

Sachin Tendulkar was picked to be immortalized in all his waxy glory at Madam Tussaud‘s. I‘m all for the pint sized champion getting his due; I can just picture a million pictures on the internet soon enough with people standing arm and arm with the Tendulkar dummy!






Sigh... Won‘t that be fun! And to think that all this glory could have been Aamir Khan‘s! He got trumped by the master blaster in order of preference and is now in waiting for Madam Tussaud‘s to come-a- callin‘! We here he‘s a ‘little‘ sulky because of that.

A little Bitchin‘ Birdie told me that it was an easy enough choice to put Sachin before Aamir and I couldn‘t agree more.

If you haven‘t noticed, I‘m a tad prejudiced against some of these celebrities! They‘re over paid, sparingly talented and have millions of people obsessing over them. Can we please NOT patronize them anymore?

Right after this news, my tweeting Birdie also said that Aamir‘s off on a long vacation with his children, but without his wife! No, he‘s not going through a second mid life crisis (the first one saw him dump his first wife for Kiran Rao) he‘s just cooling his heels before gets back to the grind and starts filming his next flop film.

Also in the offing are wax statues of Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif . Though I hear that there is a heated debate going on at Madam Tussaud‘s to make Katrina‘s statue out of Plastic and not Wax. You know, to make it more ‘life-like‘!

Is it me or does it look like Aamir is holding something in his left hand? I had to stare at this picture to make sure its not edited and its actually something on his T.

Besides...I think Sachin deserves to be in the museum. He deserved it much before anyone else in the current generation makes it there. People in India are anyways against him being Knighted (which I think is so stupid! No Indian shall bow in front of the Queen, BS!!), so I think he deserves atleast this much. | Rohit
